This particular strain was produced by crossing Gelato (Sunset Sherbet x Thin Mint Girl Scout Cookies) and Zookies (Animal Cookes x Gorilla Glue).

Genetically, Gelato x Zookies is a well-balanced strain with a 50% indica and 50% sativa composition, evident in both its physical characteristics and effects.

During the vegetative stage, it displays indica-like features such as compact growth, large leaves, and minimal space between nodes. However, as it transitions into the flowering stage, its sativa genes become more prominent and can cause a significant increase in size, up to three times its initial growth. The buds of this strain are dense and solid, similar to other members of the Cookies family, but with a higher level of resin. Under cooler temperatures, particularly below 15º C, many plants develop dark colors during flowering.

When grown outdoors without space limitations, Zookies can reach its full potential with abundant sunlight, quality substrate, and sufficient growing time.

To manage its size, a support structure in the form of a trellis can be used to prop up the branches during flowering.
